Who We Are

Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Email address — if you contact us or make a purchase via Stripe checkout.
• Payment data — processed entirely by Stripe. We never store card details.
• IP address — used solely to enforce the 3-question free trial limit. Stored with a 7-day TTL.
• Access tokens (ref) — a UUID generated at purchase linking you to your session. Stored for 1 year.
• AI interaction content — your writing submissions and speaking messages are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. We do not store the content of your submissions.

How We Use Your Data

We use collected data to: provide access to the platform, process payments via Stripe, enforce trial limits, improve the product, and respond to support queries. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to any third party.

Who We Share Data With

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Anthropic — AI processing of writing and speaking content.
• Upstash — session and trial count storage.
• Vercel — hosting and serverless infrastructure.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Legal Basis for Processing

• Contract — processing necessary to fulfil your purchase and provide access.
• Legitimate interests — preventing abuse of the free trial, improving the product.

Data Retention

• Access tokens: 1 year from purchase
• IP trial usage data: 7 days
• Email addresses: until you request deletion
• Payment records: 7 years (HMRC requirement)

Your Rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Email support@myexamdoctor.com to exercise any right. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to the platform is controlled by a token-based system. Payments are processed by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant).
